☼ FRIDAY, April 22 ☼

Get in to Ojai and check out downtown! I want to drive up early-ish, but people can come as they are able. Let's try to carpool! Some highlights I wouldn't mind checking out:
Bart's Books is an open-air used bookstore set in the frame of a traditional house. 35¢ specials since 1964!

Ojai Olive Oil is a farm near town that offers tours, free samples and bottles of of orange-and-rosemary infused oils.

Casa Barranca Winery was the first organic winery on the Central Coast. Let's taste it! Maybe with a quick lunch?

After we can buy groceries (for the whole weekend) and head home to cook, drink wine and relax! We can watch the sun set from our mansion!

☼ Saturday, April 23 ☼

After some breakfast and yoga, we could...
Take a hike! Of the 24 Hiking paths that crisscross the valley, the 6½-mile LastChance Trail, which winds through the forested Santa
Paula Canyon, is the most beautiful—and the most popular. To avoid
crowds, opt for the Shelf Road Trail, with its dramatic valley views. We
could pack a picnic and eat on the trail to keep costs down.
Sweat it Out! The 31,000-square-foot spa at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa is the
only one in the country to offer Kuyam—a Moroccan mud treatment and group guided meditation. The only treatment of this type in the United States, the Kuyam (Koo-Yahm) is a Chumash
Native American Indian word which means “a place to rest together.”

This treatment combines the therapeutic effects of self-applied cleansing  desert clays infused with essential oils, intense dry heat, inhalation therapy and accompanied by a traditional Chumash narrative. Diffused low lighting, rich colors and Moroccan-styled tile chaises enhance this unique offering. Each communal session can accommodate up to eight women or men and a private Kuyam requires a minimum of two people per session. If everyone wants to do it, we'll break into two groups of five.

Communal sessions - $85.00 per person. Please let us know ASAP so we can make reservations.
After the spa we can head home to make a bomb dinner (maybe everyone cooks one dish!). Drink wine, play games, hot tub. We need to bring Catch Phrase for sure and maybe some other good group games.

☼ SUNDAY, April 24 ☼

After yoga and breakfast we...
Hit the Organic Market! This place is full of lovely organic and handmade goods and foods.

EAT! Small plates (tomato-and-basil–stuffed artichokes; smoked salmon on baguette) make up the menu at Azu, a diminutive tapas bar inspired by chef Laurel Moore’s travels in Spain. They are open for lunch.
